Itinerary
This 3-day Dharamshala Kangra itinerary combines local sightseeing in Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj with a full day excursion to Kangra and Pong Valley before returning to Pathankot or Andora Amb.
Day 1: Pathankot / Andora Amb – Dharamshala – Local Sightseeing (90 Kms / 2–4 Hrs)
Arrive at Pathankot or Andora Amb Railway Station, meet our representative and start your exotic trip to Dharamshala. Reach Dharamshala within about 3 hours and check into the hotel. After freshening up, proceed to cover McLeod Ganj, the official residence area of the 14th Dalai Lama which also hosts Namgyal Gompa, Tibet Museum, McLeod Ganj library, cafés and souvenir shops. Other interesting places to cover in Dharamshala include Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, St. John Church, War Memorial, Cricket Stadium and the local market. Overnight stay will be at the hotel. Dharamshala has everything for a perfect holiday – tranquil waterfalls, outstretched tea gardens, a cricket stadium for sports lovers, and a calm and peaceful environment due to the Dalai Lama’s presence. Accommodation & Dinner only.
Day 2: Dharamshala – Kangra Valley & Pong Valley Day Trip
After breakfast enjoy your full day trip to Kangra Valley (around 30 Kms from Dharamshala). En route, visit Kangra Museum and Mata Shri Bajreshwari Devi Mandir. Continue to Kangra Fort, an ancient fort where one can spot evidences of battles fought among Indian rulers, Mughals and British. Proceed towards Nandrool Valley, Masroor Rock Cut Temple and Pong Dam, known for its scenic reservoir and birdlife. Later return to Dharamshala for overnight stay at the hotel. Accommodation, Breakfast & Lunch or Dinner included.
Day 3: Dharamshala – Pathankot / Andora Amb (90–95 Kms / 2–4 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pathankot Railway Station (approx. 90 Kms / 2–4 Hrs) or Andora Amb (approx. 95 Kms / 3–4 Hrs) for drop with ever memorable moments of your exotic trip. Breakfast only.
