Itinerary
This 3-day Dharamshala Kangra itinerary combines local sightseeing in Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj with a full-day excursion to Kangra and Pong Valley before returning to Pathankot or Andora Amb.
Day 1: Pathankot / Andora Amb - Dharamshala - Local Sightseeing
Arrive at Pathankot or Andora Amb Railway Station, where you will meet our representative and begin your journey to Dharamshala. Reach Dharamshala in about 3 hours and check in to the hotel. After freshening up, proceed for sightseeing in McLeod Ganj, the official residence area of the 14th Dalai Lama, which also includes Namgyal Gompa, the Tibet Museum, McLeod Ganj Library, cafes, and souvenir shops. Other interesting places to visit in Dharamshala include Bhagsu Nag Temple and Waterfall, St. John Church, War Memorial, Cricket Stadium, and the local market. Overnight stay will be at the hotel. Dharamshala has everything needed for a perfect holiday, including tranquil waterfalls, stretched tea gardens, a cricket stadium for sports lovers, and a calm and peaceful atmosphere due to the presence of the Dalai Lama. Accommodation and dinner only.
Day 2: Dharamshala - Kangra Valley & Pong Valley Day Trip
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Kangra Valley, located around 30 kms from Dharamshala. En route, visit Kangra Museum and Mata Shri Bajreshwari Devi Mandir. Continue to Kangra Fort, an ancient fort where one can see evidence of battles fought among Indian rulers, Mughals, and the British. Proceed further towards Nandrool Valley, Masroor Rock Cut Temple, and Pong Dam, known for its scenic reservoir and birdlife. Later, return to Dharamshala for an overnight stay at the hotel. Accommodation, breakfast, and lunch or dinner included.
Day 3: Dharamshala - Pathankot / Andora Amb
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pathankot Railway Station (approx. 90 kms / 2-4 hrs) or Andora Amb (approx. 95 kms / 3-4 hrs) for your drop, carrying ever-memorable moments of your trip. Breakfast only.
